Russell Sprinkles, DVM, USDA, Fear Free

Chief of Staff

Hi everyone, my name is Dr. Russell Sprinkles. My wife, Rosan, and I founded Grace Animal Hospital in 2006. In founding Grace Animal Hospital, we had a strong desire to bring high-quality medicine and surgery to Gaston County in a down-home, relaxed family atmosphere. In fact, our newly constructed facility was built entirely on providing a fear-free, comfortable atmosphere for the pets while remaining state of the art in both equipment and staff.

Professionally, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. I graduated at the top of my veterinary school class, including being inducted into The Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. My professional interests include preventative wellness care, endocrine diseases, soft tissue surgery, and pain control.

I am a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and an accredited veterinarian with the United States Department of Agriculture. I am actively serving as a member of the Gaston County Health and Human Services Advisory Board.

My family and I are members of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Lowell, North Carolina. My wife and I are both Gaston County natives as well as high school sweethearts from South Point High School. We have a teenage son named Caden who is very active in theater and music along with Darcy the dog and a cat named Jasper. In my spare time I am an avid mountain biker and actively volunteer with the Piedmont Area Singletrack Alliance, a volunteer organization that builds and maintains mountain bike trails for Gaston County Parks and Recreation.

Please feel free to come by our office any time for an introduction and tour of our facilities or just grab a cup of free coffee and relax in the porch swing.
